Paul Armstrong is a leading expert on the future of technology, disruption and innovation. Paul runs TBD Group, intelligence products, advisory and events whose clients include PwC, Omnicom, Camelot, Meta, Coutts, O2. Coca-Cola, P&G, jkrGlobal and MEC.

Paul previously worked in the US in-house at Myspace and for top agencies before returning to London to head up the social technologies team for WPP’s Mindshare.

Regularly asked for comment by the FT, WSJ, CNN, BBC, SKY when industry comment is called for, Paul writes for a number of publications, including Cool Hunting, The Information, TechRadar, Courier, amongst others. Paul's first book, ‘Disruptive Technologies’, offers organisations a distinct response to emerging technologies, including Blockchain, artificial intelligence, 3/4D printing, AR/VR and nanotechnology and other external factors that intertwine to impact their business and consumers. 'Disruptive Technologies' became a best seller on Amazon, and volume two was released in Q1 2023.

The TBD framework contained in ‘Disruptive Technologies’ inspired the TBD Conference, which, in 2020, was called one of the Top 50 Global Technology Conferences and has been featured in Fast Company and CNN. Paul created TBD’s audio show, ‘Mouthwash’, in 2021—the world’s first sponsored Twitter Space.

Paul is on the board of Global Tech Advocates, an Ambassador for Meaningful Business, on the council of Plastic-Free, a founding member of the Good Technology Collective, NED for Huggg, and a judge (Women In Marketing, CoolBrands, Shorty Awards). Paul is currently writing his second book with Penguin, which is due out in 2025.
